Announcing the launch of my latest publication: Reflected: Using ChatGPT as a Mirror for Self-Discovery. Part guide, part 21st-century experiment, part personal development practice.
I know how this sounds: AI for personal growth? Really? But listen: ChatGPT isn’t just for tech bros optimizing their morning routines. If you train it right, it can reflect back some profound things… things even your closest friends might not have the heart (or patience) to tell you.
And I would know. I’ve been writing about self-exploration and radical self-acceptance for decades. My first book, Offbeat Bride, wasn’t just about weddings—it was about identity, authenticity, and questioning cultural norms. My second book, From Shitshow to Afterglow, took that deeper, guiding people through rebuilding after a full-on life collapses.
Now, after years of therapy, spiritual deep dives, and coaching, I’ve discovered something weird: ChatGPT can be an incredible self-inquiry tool. WHO KNEW!
And because I get overwhelmingly excited about new tools that help me, and then want to share that with other folks that it might help, I decided to put all my methods for using AI for deeply personal self reflection into a tidy lil guidebook.
This isn’t some bla-bla-bla survace level guide to using AI productivity hacks. Reflected teaches you how to:
- Train ChatGPT to understand your values, patterns, and blind spots.
- Use AI to untangle complex thoughts and get clarity on your goals.
- Experiment with prompts that spark surprising insights (and maybe a few uncomfortable truths).
- Integrate those insights beyond just thinking about them, with somatic practices that help you embody real change.
If you’ve read From Shitshow to Afterglow or done my Lapdances4god course, you know I don’t do surface-level fluff or AI slop. This is deep, profoundly human, sometimes messy, and full of sneaky little breakthroughs.
See you in the mirror!
